Silent Explosion

a stop-motion animation created by Jaye.D

She began using the tattoo on her left arm as inspiration for a series of artworks in 2023. Influenced by MUTO a wall-painted animation by BLU, she experiments with varying backgrounds in her stop-motion animations rather than maintaining consistency.

Cool, and fun!

The Signal

a 3D and AIGC animation created by Jaye.D

This is the trailer for "The Signal".

Following a mysterious transmission from a long-lost space station, an astronaut steps into a blinding light and falls into a time loop stitched together by liminal spaces, only to realize he has become the signal itself.

Technically, Signal is not generated directly from text prompts. Instead, I first construct a set of key still frames: core images of Chase, the interior of the station, and a range of liminal spaces. These stills—designed through drawing, collage, and compositing—serve as “perceptual nodes” that are then fed into an image-to-video AI model. The model extrapolates motion, noise, and lighting changes between frames, producing short temporal segments with a built-in sense of hallucination. In this workflow, AI functions less as a simple image generator and more as a “time interpolator” or hallucination amplifier, translating static images into flowing time while injecting its own instability and drift.

Don't You Wonder What’s Inside?

an interactive story created by Jaye.D

In China, there is a birthday ritual called Zhua Zhou, where a one-year-old child is presented with a selection of symbolic objects, and whichever item they reach for is believed to hint at their future path. For this Cornell Box, she began by revisiting the video of her own ceremony and gathering the objects her father carefully chose for her. Each item is placed inside the scene as a small time capsule. As viewers move closer to an object, they hear her father’s interpretation of what that object meant for her future.
